SCOTUS Eases Guidelines for Crack Sentencing

It’s official: The Supreme Court has decided on a 7-2 vote (with Thomas and Alito, but not Scalia, dissenting) that federal judges may use their discretion to impose “reasonably” shorter prison terms for crack cocaine crimes.
